Hanala's Traumedy Central

Cult Favorite Hanala “Suzan” Stadner
Returns to Television
with Traumedy Central on JLTV

Back in the early 1990s, thousands of Los Angeles residents – including the likes of Marlon Brando and Eddie Van Halen – watched The Suzan Stadner Show on Channel 3, local public access cable television.

After a 10-year hiatus, she’s back. Now known as Hanala (reclaiming her birth name), she a will star in Traumedy Central, a series of 3-to-5 minute segments that will air throughout the day on the new Jewish Life TV network.

With the signature wry tone and unflinching honesty that fans of her cable show came to love, Hanala will tackle universal issues such as weight, fitness, substance abuse, relationships, family issues and any other challenges life brings her way.

Hanala attained certified cult celebrity status with The Suzan Stadner Show, which she wrote, hosted and produced. In its 10 years on air, she attracted legions of fans, including the late Marlon Brando, who called himself her “biggest fan.” The show’s success landed Hanala on nationally broadcast programs, like Dateline, Leeza, E! and more.

After the show ended, Hanala kept mostly out of the public eye, focusing on her work as a substance abuse counselor and her gig as a popular fitness instructor – all while writing a memoir, My Parents Went Through The Holocaust And All I Got Was This Lousy T-Shirt. The provocatively titled book has gotten rave reviews, especially from other “Second Generation” survivors of the Holocaust.

Hanala’s newest foray into television promises to entertain her old fans and make new fans alike. The weekly show premieres July 24 on cable channel JLTV, which airs in numerous markets around the world.
