AUTHOR AND FITNESS INSTRUCTOR HANALA STADNER
PROVES THAT FIFTY CAN BE FABULOUS
DESPITE A DYSFUNCTIONAL PAST!
California Author, TV Personality and Esteemed Spin Instructor Survived Anorexia, Bulimia and Drug Addiction to Champion a Personal Path to Fitness, Health and Sobriety

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Sept. 19, 2007) – With abs of steel, the energy of a twenty-something, and a face to match, Hanala Stadner is an inspiration to aging baby boomers everywhere. Her inspiring message to her Hollywood celebrity clients and the rest of us: you can be fabulous at 50 regardless of your past.
An accomplished Los Angeles spin instructor, author and celebrity substance abuse counselor, Hanala hopes her dysfunction-to-diva life story will inspire other women facing circumstances seemingly beyond their control.
As she tells it in her new book, My Parents Went Through The Holocaust and All I Got Was This Lousy T-Shirt, Hanala was not always so fabulous. Growing up with deeply wounded Holocaust-surviving parents manifested into years of severe guilt and insecurity resulting in chronic panic disorders as a child. Eventually she sought refuge in drugs, alcohol and faced ongoing battles with obesity and anorexia.
Finally, after a lifetime of clinical depression and self-destructive behavior, Hanala sought help through fitness, resulting in rock-hard thighs and a desire to help others with her trademark wit and wisdom. She remains in Los Angeles as a top spin instructor, TV personality and author, and is regularly called upon to share her transformative story.
Hanala is a member of The National Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors and has provided private substance abuse counseling for well-known entertainment figures. She has been a "CBS Home Show" fitness expert, and has appeared on "CBS Early Show," "Dateline," "Leeza," "Extra" and countless radio shows. Hanala is a popular motivational speaker and a regular guest speaker at 12-step meetings and at Second Generation (Holocaust Survivors) meetings nationwide.
Next up for Hanala is a nationwide tour to promote her bittersweet memoir, My Parents Went Through The Holocaust and All I Got Was This Lousy T-Shirt. Starting late October, Hanala hits the East Coast speaking at bookstores and colleges with her frank and funny message.
